A new Polish escape

The one mineral you can build a chapel from.

Solanka Royale Casino Hotel is a fictional destination inspired by the great salt mines of southern Poland, where for seven centuries miners carved not just tunnels but chapels, chandeliers and life-sized statues entirely from rock salt, deep underground. Grey-blue crystal, dark slate and deep garnet run through the whole casino hotel, lit to catch the way light moves through salt.

Trace the veins of translucent salt set into the lobby walls. Breathe the dry mineral air of the cave rooms. Then step down into our adults-only casino salon, cool and crystalline under low light. Everything in this casino hotel takes its cue from a substance that kept Poland rich for hundreds of years and turned out, in the right hands, to be beautiful.

Kopalnia Restaurant

Cured, smoked and salted.

Our signature restaurant leans on the craft the mines made possible—salt-cured meats, brine-pickled vegetables, smoked river fish, sour rye soup and dark bread with butter and coarse salt flakes. Polish vodka is served ice-cold from the salt cellar, and the room is finished in back-lit salt brick a few steps from the casino hotel lobby.
